Event Calendar

Sat., January 6 @ 6pm
Location: Bowlus Auditorium
Description: This event includes not only Greater Vision and the Mark Trammel Quartet . . and you guessed it, the Second Half Quartet too!

Since December of 1990, Greater Vision has inspired audiences with their rich vocal blend and their effective ability to communicate the message of the gospel. They have established a firm place at the pinnacle of Christian music, and have become the most awarded trio in the history of Gospel music.

For over forty years Mark Trammell has been blessed to sing Gospel Music. Something he says, "evolved from a dream to a life's call; from just singing to ministry." Many long time observers and followers of Gospel Music consider him to be one the greatest baritone singers of all time. He has won multiple awards as a singer and producer, and has been a member of four of Gospel Music's most acclaimed groups - The Kingsmen, The Cathedrals, Greater Vision and Gold City. For most people, just being with one of these legendary groups would be the pinnacle of a career and justification for resting on your laurels. But for Mark now is not the time to kick back and relax. Instead, it is time to step into a fresh mission that focuses on evangelism through the seamless integration of Gospel Music and preaching - The Mark Trammell Quartet.

In 2014, Greater Vision and The Mark Trammell Quartet appeared the same night at an event in Marion, Illinois. Intermission ran longer than expected. Before stepping back on stage, the promoter pulled Gerald Wolfe aside and asked, “Could you close the second half with both groups on stage singing a few songs together?” Gerald answered, “Yes, we can do that.” What followed was an experience like no other. Since then, promoters have been asking – not just for GV and MTQ to appear together – but to replicate what took place on stage in Marion, Illinois.
